The Accelerated Residency is a unique opportunity to engage deeply with the Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad and learn alongside colleagues. During this intensive three-day residency, you will attend all six of the workshops that make up the Professional Certification Program. By the end of the residency, you will have the foundation and resources needed to complete the program assignments when you return home. ​

Below is a tentative schedule for the Summer Accelerated Residency. Please note that the order of these workshops may change due to conditions beyond The Forum’s control. 

Monday

• 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. — Introduction to the Standards of Good Practice in Education Abroad
• 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. — Designing Education Abroad Using The Standards of Good Practice

Tuesday

• 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. — Managing Education Abroad: Program Implementation to Evaluation
• 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. — Health, Safety and Well-Being

Wednesday

• 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. — Student Learning & Development I: Advising & Orientations
• 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. — Student Learning & Development II: Reflection, Integration & Assessment

Program Cost 

Enrollment in the Accelerated Residency program includes the cost of Professional Certification in Education Abroad.

Attendees are responsible for travel, accommodation, and meals beyond the program agenda.

• Six Professional Certification in person workshops.
