Professionalizing Education Abroad

Since 2008, º«¹úÈý¼¶Æ¬has collected and published data for many job titles and descriptions from across our profession to serve as a source of common understanding across our complex and diverse field. The 2024 update of the Professional Roles in Education Abroad resource updates the core position descriptions from the previous publication and adds education abroad provider organization department descriptions. Some salary statistics for people employed in these roles at the time of our 2022 State of the Field Survey are also included. This information is shared to advance the standardization of the roles, functions, and expectations of staff in education abroad. It can be used by job seekers, managers, and human resource professionals.
